Original ebony tailpiece with thick celluloid tortoise shell color/pattern trapeze is in good condition, the tortoise cross bar is solid and shows no cracks or failure. The original nut is present.

Only 400 of the J-55 Gibson acoustic guitars were manufactured between 1939 until 1943 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. This particular Gibson J-55 retailed at $55 in 1941 just before the USA entered World War 2.

A sensational 1959 Gibson LG-2 acoustic guitar with a full rounded tone.

Made between 1942-1962, this is a premium quality example of one of Gibson's most successful acoustic guitars.

Tortoise shell pickguard, Brazilian rosewood fretboard and a great low action. Last year of fixed bridge for this model.

Played by United States country musician Chris Stapleton who uses this guitar to write most of his music.

Original P-90 Pickup, Spruce Laminate Top, Checked Sunburst Finish, Tortoise Guard, One Piece Mahogany Neck, 1 & 11/16" Nut Width, Brazilian Rosewood Board, Trapezoid Inlays, Individual Kluson Tuners, Ebony Bridge Saddle.

Bridge Pins replaced, Frets are Worn, First fret inlay appears to be replaced. Back is crack free. No visible cracks on heavily checked top. D string tuner is slightly bent but works fine.

The pickguard was removed some time ago. Purchased from a music store in L.A., this piece comes 100% original (apart from the guard) and has a sweet tone for blues and country playing.
