Serial number on metal dates '58. Pot's date 1958 and case dates 1958 There is no pencil date under the tuners to confirm either date. Flat pole piece strat pickup installed.
Fender began production of the Champ in 1954 replacing the Champion.
These are highly sort after mainly for their original "Telecaster" pickup which we are happy to say, this one still retains untouched.
Comes with original hard case. Missing handle
